everything the person above me said is very good and should help you a good bit. for barrel racing, that bit is a very good transition bit yes and it will give you good brakes. it seems to have a good mouth piece on it, i like that bit alot. i dont like to put narrow mouth pieces on my horses but i need more than just a snaffle or a curb. that bit should be good!

So I have to make the most important decision in my whole entire life choosing a career. I have already gotten into USC pharmacy school but I have also always had a passion for becoming a medical doctor preferably internal medicine or dermatologist. I am completely lost with my life and don't know what to do. Is it worth it to become a pharmacist in the long run or to become a medical doctor. I heard the schooling for both is hard. If anyone is a pharmacist out there i would greatly appreciate any comments whatsoever or anyone else (ALL COMMENTS WELCOME). Ever since i got into pharmacy school i am leaning towards becoming a pharmacist since I'm already in a good school and I dont have to take the MCAT or PCAT. Overall how much does a pharmacist make a year on average in California. In the long run is becoming a pharmacist worth it or is it better to just shoot for medical school. I'm extremely stressed out and have been thinking about this non stop for the past couple months. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Does getting your tonsils out hurt/is scary?

I've had strep almost 4 times this year, and my mom said it would probaly be best to get them out, but I'm EXTREMELY scared of needles and the hospital. Every time I have a blood test i pass out;(. Mega bad tonsillitis?

Ok I have been in severe pain since Tuesday with tonsillitis :( every day it seems to get worse and worse. I have not been able to eat and am trying to drink plenty of water but it's so painful to swallow. I have been sucking on ice cubes and taking paracetamol every 4 hours to help with the pain. Im pretty sure it's tonsillitis as I do tend to get it once a year, and got White tonsils and very swollen and extremely difficult to swallow. Today they are so swollen that the dangly bit at the back of your throat is touching my tongue! It feels so nasty like there is something in the back of my throat. It's causing me to snore while I'm awake! I have rang the dr twice but there not classing it as an emergency and said to ride it out and I can't get an apt till Monday. Is there any thing strong I can get over the counter to help with the pain and swelling, or any other home remedies I could try? Is it normal to get slot worse before it gets better? As every day I hope to wake up and feel even just a little better but it seems to get worse and more painful every day :(

I'm sick, help please, the doctors can't answer.?

So about 2 weeks ago I ended my Friday really drowsy and just off. I was running a fever, 102 degrees or more consistently. 6 days later it turned into a fever with vomiting. So I decided to go to the doctor. They ran blood tests and my doctor told me to go to sleep and take a few days off from work for rest. That this was just a routine cold and it should be over soon. Well a few days after that my fever vanished (thanks Tylenol) and it went to profuse vomiting and a really really sore throat. So I went back to my doctor and they ran more blood tests and started me on an antibiotic. This was about 4 days ago. Because my tonsils are so swollen, and I'm vomiting a lot, I cannot eat. So I was taking my antibiotics on an empty stomach. The doctors started giving me IVs and steroid shots to help relieve some of the pain in my throat. The doctors cannot tell me what I have wrong with me. I have seemed to develop a quarter sized lump on the right and left side of my throat. Does anyone have any ideas as to whats up with me?

Pus Pockets in throat, fever, aches, very tired?

Thursday morning I woke up with white pus pockets in my throat, fever, aches, and I felt really weak. I had my tonsils removed about 3 years ago and I haven't really had any problems with my throat since then. I went to the doctor, she didn't test me for strep or anything and she said I had Hand Foot and Mouth Disease and said there was nothing else to do because its a virus. Well by Saturday it had gotten much worse and I didn't have any signs of the rash that's associated with HFMD so I went back to the doctor. She didn't test for strep but she said she was going to treat it like I have strep and gave me Antibiotics and Pain Pills. My fever has gone down but it still comes back in the evening and my throat still looks the same, actually a little worse and I still feel tired and weak. Does anyone have any idea what else it could be? Should I try going to the doctor again?

17 and coughing up blood?

ive had tonsilitis for the last 3 weeks and last saturday night my left tonsil was bleeding.. it probably doesnt help that i smoke 15+ ciggarettes a day but last night i woke up coughing and every time i coughed i gagged.. i think i might have more then tonsilitis and ive been on antibiotics since monday and the week before that.. but they put it up to a stronger one recently.. my antibiotics finish tonight and there is no way ill be fully healthy by tomorrow.. any suggestions on what to do? or what it might be.. should i tell a doctor about the coughing up blood thing.. its really starting to worry me

Does this guy like me?

Okay. We're best friends and really close. It's hard to read him and we fight a lot over the stupidest things and then he calls me a *****... anyways, he always "likes" all my closest friends and one of my very best friends (she can read people, she took a class in it) says he does that to make me jealous. He's really nice when he isn't mad and asked me out a long time ago when we weren't really friends at all. I said no, but that sort of started our friendship. I always tell him I love him, but he never responds the same. He jokes around a lot with me and says he thinks I'm really pretty. One time, I spit water on to him and he threw me to the ground (I was surprised) and like leaned over me sort of. It was weird. White spots in the back of the throat usually (but not always) indicate an infection. Best to get it checked out by a doctor. Even if it's nothing at least he can give you something for the discomfort.

Along time ago I met this girl named Samantha and instantly I fell for her. You're going to pay more on the Peninsula. You'd likely do better having it in Lexington. I used to live in Falls Church and went to a couple of weddings in the DC area while I was living there. I heard that they were quite pricey, but the further southwest you go, towards Roanoke, etc. the cheaper the venues become. My ex went to Radford and we went to wedding in Blacksburg. Help! Foot problems after 2 years?

I broke my foot 2 years ago on the side of my foot in 3 places. The Dr. put a soft cast on for only a week. 2 years later my foot is swollen where I broke it and I have pain when I put too much pressure on it.My foot also leans inwards wrecking my shoes and causing me to actually fall. I'm scared the dr will have to break it or somehting, Help!

Cocaine nose/sinus infection?

hi. so about 3 days ago i did 3 lines of cocaine throughout one night. they were small lines. i also drank excessively and ended up puking the next morning...oh yeah and im an everyday pot smoker (not for a few days though due to pain) i dont normally do cocaine. id say ive done it a total of 7 times since i was 16 (im 22 now) and every time was the same..just a couple small lines. ive never had a problem the next day..but since the night i partied ive had, what seems like an allergy or sinus problem. at first i was jsut having trouble clearing my nose..but its been getting worse every day. the second day my lymphnodes became swollen and by day three it feels like i have mononucleosis. my tonsils are white and swollen, stiff neck, still cant clear my nose..and when i clear my nose its reddish and yellow. also i cant clear it by blowing out. i have to suck it in (gross i know). ive read tons of cocaine stories over the past few days but all of them seem to be frequent users and they all seem to think this will pass. im in serious pain! it hurts to swallow and i want to know if this will get better on its own..or if my symptoms seem doctor worthy. i feel like im dying..but then again i am a dramatic female. please spare me your rude comments..im looking for information..not put downs. and if it makes you feel any better..cocaine sucks! and i will never put that in my body again. this is worse than mono! thanks! oh! and since that day i havent been eating too much..ive been taking decongestants, gargling salt water helps temporarily, and drinking tea. what to do.. what to do..

Is there a way to take care of Tonsil Stones?

I have read the other question(s) on the site, but mine is more specific. I am currently taking throat losenges to help with the pain that comes with swallowing (or, if I haven't taken a pain reliever, talking). The other question suggests that you can use a swab to take them out, but I want to treat the problem, not the side effects. I went to an urgent care center the first time we noticed it, and they charged me over $120 and prescribed a tosilitis antibiotic. It seemed to work, but the prescription was for 5 days, and it's been gone for a week now and the pain is back. No-one seems to be able to treat the problem. Is the only solution to get my tonsils removed? I have heard it takes a while to recover, which will not be fun seeing as I am in college now, so I can't afford to miss days. Also, I was told by my doctor that people cannot get their tonsils removed unless they are tested positive for Strep 4 time in one year. It seems like the only options to relieve my suffering are to stick things down my throat and pull out the stones or go around trying to get Strep. Help!

Mononucleosis and menstrual cycles.?

Okay so I've had a BAD case of viral mononucleosis and been on medication for strep throat. I also got a vitamin B shot about a week ago. I was on the medication for about two weeks and I just got off of them a week ago. I was supposed to start my period about three days ago. Is it normal to my period to be late? When should I start? I've had mononucleosis for about three weeks. I've been VERY sick, runny nose, SORE throat with pus sacs all over my throat and tonsils, tired all the time and a croup cough. I got blood work done and I had strep and and mononucleosis. I can't afford to see a gynecologist, insurance doesn't cover it. Please give detailed answers and nothing stupid. It's immature.

Not sure why you think "horrifically bad" but I got the picture. The purpose of telling a story, be it fiction or non, is to communicate a thought or idea. I thought it was very descriptive of the details and created a scenario I could see in my head and almost experience with my senses. You gave enough detail but did not overdue it to the extent of boredom. When people read fiction they want the experience of feeling like they are there. Just keep finding descriptions of detail that triggers the readers senses. Like right now I am thinking of chocolate! I can see it, smell it and taste it though I have not even bought it yet:) Just keep in mind it is easier to make the reader experience something they have actually experienced. When it comes to something less common, pay special attention to the key details to make it come alive. Your little excerpt here scores an A+ in my book!!

I'm a 16 year old GUY, 165 lbs, 5'10 tall. I have some belly fat, love handles, and a bit of bum fat. Other then that, I'm really not fat, I'm pretty slim, but I don't look the best when I take my shirt off coz i have no muscle in my chest and abs, just some fat. WHat can I do to achieve a nice, toned, lean look? not huge, but toned and lean. I need to lose prolly 10 pounds. Sharp, stabbing pain beside my hipbone?

For the past two days, I've had a really awful, sharp, stabbing pain on my right side, to the left of my hipbone. I'm assuming it's in the ovarian area, but I'm not specifically sure. It's been consistently constant, hurting most severely when I'm standing upright or moving around, and I'm really unsure what to think about it. I really don't have great health - I just turned 15, but I've already had my large intestine and appendix removed from Ulcerative Colitis (during this past year), I had a colostomy and now it's been reversed and I have J-pouch, and I've had constant migraines and tendinitis in my ankles since I was 8. Over the last 6 months, I got diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and since the only treatment is cutting gluten out of my diet, I've lost 67 pounds (I was really overweight of course, now I'm only like 10-20 pounds overweight for my height - 5'7", plus the Spanish and Irish in my blood didn't have any effect on my bone structure... tall n' Polish :P), plus I have had little issues like ear "tubes" for being born with hearing issues, tonsils and adenoids have been taken out as well. So in general, it might be nothing, but I'm so health-paranoid after all my other issues, it might be something. It was suggested to me to go to an ObGyn because it's close to the ovary-area, but I've never been to one before. Should I consider that? I've already considered appendicitis- but I don't have an appendix, it's not an intestinal pain at all otherwise I'd be in a car headed to the state capital to meet with my medical team (gastric- of course), and though my mother had gallstones, it is way to low to be an issue with the gallbladder, and it's too far to the front of my body to be kidney stones. I read that this could be a side-effect of a tubular pregnancy, but I'm not sexually active so that rules that out. I also haven't been overly strenuous on my body, all my friends are on vacation so the past three days I went for a few light walks around my block, but I've mostly been barricaded in my room with a stack of books from the school's reading list, so I really doubt it's a muscular strain. I really haven't found anything else on possibilities. As far as I know I'm too young to have anything wrong with one of my ovaries, but then again nine months ago I thought I was too young to have a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease like Ulcerative Colitis too. So in general, should this be something to worry about? Any ideas on what the issue could be?

I went to the ENT and I still think I'm sick.?

I went to the ent cause I though I had a vocal polyp. I had no symptoms at all but I still think I had it. My doctor checked my throat and he said I had no infection Or nothing exept my tonsils were a little swollen... But I still think I have a vocal polyp... Why can't I get over it?

Chinese wife trying to learn to drive...how can we help her?

This driving "school" is NOT doing her ANY JUSTICE whatsoever in even learning the basics of driving! I feel you are doing nothing but WASTING YOUR money! What in the world is she going to do driving "on her own", she's like an accident waiting to happen! I'm sorry to put it so bluntly to you, but I just feel for HER safety & for the safety of OTHERS, she is NOT ready by all means to be driving on the road. I lived 30 min. from Boston, KNOW too well what the traffic is like in that area & being a driver for umpteen yrs., I myself didn't like driving in the Boston area...far too many "one way" streets that ARE confusing to an experienced driver! I'm simply concerned for her welfare period. Perhaps your daughter could be of help to her when she takes her drivers lessons & it would be far more effective! She is NOT safe at all on the roads, especially in the areas she must drive in, as I am far too familiar with your area! From taking as many lessons as she's already taken, she should certainly KNOW which side of the road to drive on & also of the speed limits she should be going. I didn't even have that many lessons myself in drivers ed. in school & have been a VERY good defensive driver, have driven for 56 yrs. & NEVER got one single ticket in my whole driving career! Yes, granted I have done speeding on quiet back roads ONLY the ones I'm familiar with however, so I'm far from being a "saint" so to speak. However I did get good defensive driving thru school. IF your wife still has MORE "lessons" you've yet to pay for, I'm sorry to say I feel you just are throwing your money out the window & IF ONLY someone could get thru to her about it, it sure would save you money. Let your daughter take her out in a quieter section of your area & teach her how to drive, it would definitely be to ALL your benefits. I DO feel sorry for you footing a bill where they are totally "taking you over" & they MUST BE well aware of it. To me, they are NOT a reputable company! IF IF you could just reason with her, suggest your daughter get her license & let HER teach her mother how to drive properly this WOULD do you ALL a justice! See IF she'd be willing to do this, maybe you could use the "ploy" you want to save money since you'll be paying for2 to learn how to drive, you could actually save yourselves some money. HOPEFULLY you could reason to her in this manner as most folks DO want to save money IF/WHEN they can...the best to you...:)

Why have i got a lump in the back of my throat?

ok so yesterday and the day before i found it hard to swallow, you know when u feel sick, and u can feel it coming up your throat? it feels a bit like that, but its a lump, when i swallow, i can feel it moving, and it hurts the top of my back too, my throat isnt sore, its just painful with this lump, and it hurts my ears too. i went to the doctors today, to see a nurse but i have to wait till monday to see my doctor, i know its ridiculous, i duno what else to do, is it a bad thing? cos if it is, i will go and see a different doctor tomorrow if i have to, but i just really wanna know what it could be, please tell me what u think, cos its bugging me. the nurse looked in my mouth, my tonsils are not up, so its not my tonsils, she said she didnt see anything, so i need to see my doctor for a deeper look... please help me out

I think I might want to be a Pastry Chef?

Well, my dream used to involve some sort of law/criminal justice, but now that I'm getting closer to college (I'm a junior in h.s.) I'm starting to lean more towards becoming a pastry chef or baker. Art has always been my passion, I've entered a few art contests and I always come in first or second place, so I think that because I have a passion for art I can definitely become a pastry chef! Plus, I love baking and watching The Food Network on tv! lol. Anyway, I have no idea where to start. Do I have to go to a special college? I live in Chicago, so I will ONLY go to a school near there. I was planning on going to NIU, but I'm pretty sure that they wouldnt have any classes or anything for me to become a pastry chef. How do I best tell my boyfriend I want kids in the future?

I'd first ask a trusted singing coach if large tonsils are a hindrance for hitting high notes and if having your tonsils removed would be a good idea and would indeed help your singing career. You could be friends with this guy, only if you wanted to. I think you handled the situation maturely and quite well, I would have done the same. But if you are open to a friendship, don't be fooled, I have come across many people that have put me in a similar situation and I'm not going to lie, I have put others in the same, and it's all for the desire of being desired. Or he's just scared about commitment, whichever way you want to look at it. If you think you can't be friends with him then don't, there's no one saying that you have to. He's just another drop in a bucket of water, there are plenty more guys out there more deserving of your attention and friendship.

Feels like something stuck in throat?

When I swallow it feels like theres something stuck in my throat. I've also noticed 1 small white dot on each tonsil. Could it be tonsil stones or tonsillitis?

Is it spotty? Hopefully not infected. Sometimes I would get that from strong alcohol shots (dried it out) or a bad unclean glass from the bar. Take some ibuprofen or whatever your favorite pain reliever is to reduce the swelling, go to the store and get some sea salt and gargle with that a few times a day, and drink a crapload of water so that you are always going 'clear'.

So, last time my friend came over (both girls) we were just sitting talking in my room. Then she said she had a game we could play. Most cases of pharyngitis (sore throat) are viral in nature and will run their course. Tonsillitis and pharyngitis run hand in hand and are only differentiated because one area can be involved without the other but usually both are involved. Tonsillitis is simply inflammation of the tonsil(s) (just as pharyngitis is a inflammation of the throat) and is not a disease in itself, merely a condition or symptom, if you will. In each case one must ask the next question...what is the underlying cause? Again, most cases of sore throat are viral and antibiotics have no effect. Time is the only cure. Many clinicians will treat based on what they have been seeing in recent days (i.e. seeing lots of positive strep swabs and you have the same presentation, then simply treat for strep). Treating viral pharyngitis with antibiotics will not harm you but it will not help either. As with pharyngitis, tonsillitis can be viral or bacterial. On the other hand, tonsils are notorious for harboring strep and causing repeat episodes of strep pharyngitis, which is why tonsillitis is aptly linked to strep throat. Bottom line, Azithromycin is very effective against strep, so if you completed a course of that antibiotic and are no better, than you likely have viral pharyngitis/tonsillitis. If this is the case it will resolve on its own within 7 to 10 day from onset. If it persists beyond that or you develop other symptoms such as numerous enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, it may be mononucleosis (a virus that does not follow the 10 day rule), so follow up with you doctor if not resolved in 7 - 10 days.

Currently I am sick with a horrible sore throat. I have went to the doctors and the rapid strep test was negative and in still waiting on the cultered strep test. Okay. First of all, I am 11 weeks 1 day pregnant. Four days ago, I had a horrible headache. I layed in bed all day with cold compresses and took children's tylenol. The headache eased up, but now I have pain in my upper neck/ back of my head. I also have a sore throat (shouldnt be strep bc I have not had that since my tonsils were taken out 7 years ago at age 18). My throat is itchy and makes me cough quite a bit. When I wake up I feel like I have a lot of drainage between my nose and throat (almost like a post nasal drip that is clogged up). I do not have a fever and my temperature has ranged between 98.4-99.5 for the last four days. My main concern is my general ill feeling and pain in my neck/ back of head. It feels stiff when I try to turn it side to side and backwards, but not when I touch my chin to my chest. Has anyone experienced these symptoms before and do you thnk this is a trip to the ER or an after hours clinic?

While recovering tonsillectomy, which days are the most painful days?

I'm getting my tonsils removed in 3 days and im really nervous because i read all these stories online that are saying the recovery is horrible! And Im suppose to go to a party 4 days after my surgery...

Why do my tonsils hurt when I get the white stuff on them?

Ok, so I got this white stuff on my right tonsile and it really hurts to swallow or even just talk. How to control irritable bowel disease on a road trip?

This Friday my boyfriend and I are going on a 6 hour road trip. I have horrible IBS and I find that if we're stuck in traffic or if we're not in a scenic area, I get attacks and waves of nausea and it sucks. It sounds to me that you've taken too much of the antibiotics at once and they've kicked you while you're down. In my own experience, I've taken a lot of antibiotics for a chest infection so it could clear up quicker and I spent the rest of the week with diarrhea and vomiting. If you're dentist says its not your teeth, then it isn't. Is your equilibrium warped? Do you feel off balance? If so, I'd say go to the doctors. With a large scale infection like you had, it is likely that it may have affected your ears. Your nose, eyes, mouth and ears are all connected so if one starts acting up it could affect you. I'd suggest just to go to the emergency room or doctor if you start feeling any worse. Dump the kids on a close relative or friend and get better. You can't be of much help if you're very unwell or in pain, as you said.

Should I still be in this much pain?

I had my tonsils removed on Monday and I am STILL in excruciating pain. The first couple of days were okay and drinking milkshakes soothed my throat. On the 3rd day, everything i ate/drank (besides water) KILLED my throat. It is now day 5 and I thought I would start to feel better. I can't eat or drink anything other than water. I feel extremely weak. I just want all this pain to be gone. I take my medicine, hydrocodone, every 4 hours. My ears and jaw hurt as well. Btw, I had HUGE tonsils so the holes left in my mouth are probably larger than those of most people who get their tonsils removed; could this be why I'm still suffering so much? Also, should I have been perscribed an antibiotic? I feel like I should have, but I was just given the hydrocodone. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Hi,I used to be overweight (weighed about 160 lbs) when I was 14 my height is 5,10. I started dieting when I was 14 and a half years old because everybody at school bullied me, called me names, and obviously wanted a girlfriend . Now after dieting and fortunately reaching my goal I weigh 140 lbs with the same height. I started taking care and maintainig my weight by not eating high calorie foods,bread and fast foods. Currently I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit but my parents still think I'm dieting and tell me to stop or theyll send me to the psychologist but I'm happy the way I eat. Question about Papilloma again?

Next to the uvula (Uvula, as in the throat!!), I have a growth thats the same color as my uvula. Its smooth, and in a teardrop shape...kind of hanging next to my uvula. I've had it for 2 years, maybe more. It feels soft, just like the uvula feels. My tonsils look normal. It hasn't grown..but it got smaller one time after I recovered from a throat infection, but went back to it's normal size. After lots of research (im a hypochondriac) I think it looks like a papilloma. The only thing is, I couldn't have a papilloma, because my immune system is healthy, I've never had ANY kind of sex, or even kissed anyone. I don't smoke or drink, and no one in my family has HPV. It is also smooth, (not lumpy like papilloma generally look). Could it be anything else? like a polyp, or a cyst or something? I'm doubtful its HPV.. Thanks

Sounds like you have a handle on what happened. I would suggest you try cleaning your ears every month or so with an ear cleaner like Debrox. Or you can mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and alcohol. This mix is also very good for swimmer's ear and long earred dogs.( I had a basset and a cocker spaniel.) If a person does not have the wax build up, or for cats, leave out the peroxide. Another thought, sometimes you can get a pimple inside the ear canal that can open up and bleed. Get your mom or dad to look in and see what they can see.

Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)?

I'm scheduled to have ultrasound guided fna on Thursday in my neck. For the last 24hrs I have felt the symptoms of tonsillitis coming on. Is it safe to continue with fna while I have an infection? I'm concerened that my surgeon will re-schedule if I let on about my tonsils, I've been waiting for nearly 3 months to find out if this growth is somthing bad, after two failed unguided fna's this appointment has taken weeks to arrive. this morning I woke up and my throat was hurting REALLY bad but only on the right side. Someone killed in boating accident-opinions?

A family of four is on the water with no witnesses, 2 stories came out of the Coroner's Office on the . day of the death. 1) The Dad is leaning over and messing with the propeller (with the engine running in both stories!) and the 11yr old son puts the boat in gear, Dad falls off the boat, the Mom then puts the boat in reverse and runs over him. 2) The Dad is in the water some feet away from the boat, the son puts the boat in reverse and runs over him, the Mom puts the boat in gear and runs over him again. I am sure there is confusion, but I don't understand how the Mom doesn't know if the Dad is ON or OFF the boat (a 24ft boat) before the accident. She might have changed the story because she couldn't abide the thought of people thinking she ran over him, she clearly thought the story would not get out about her son hitting his Dad. But if she wanted to protect him, why change the story in the first place? Unless she couldn't stand the thought of people thinking she was the one at fault, which is consistent with her personality. Also, there was the matter of money. She lives for dinner parties at her home, which she loves to show off, she has more photos of her home than of her kids. Very materialistic, it's extremely likely that they had financial problems, due the amount going out & their business is the type to drop off in this economy. The insurance policy from his death would have assured they/she wouldn't have to sell anything, the condo, the house, the cars, the boat etc, something she couldn't abide due to her pride. She told me she never broke down once since his death (pride?) and has lost a lot of weight since his death, has been doing Coke, and has been partying incessantly since his death. I want to know from this info if 1) anything looks wrong with this, if so what? and 2) Does anyone else think she should have known whether he was on or off the boat prior to the accident? 3) Is the changing of the stories consistent with that of someone grieving, or someone trying to cover their mistake? It's a horrible plan. At 13 you need a basic healthy diet. Focusing on forced weight-loss is medically unsafe. 180 at 5'5" does seem like a lot but if you just adopt healthy habits you probably won't gain much as you finish growing into an adult and may lose a good bit in the meantime.

Why will my homelite trimmer not start?

I have a Homelite St-385 string trimmer, with a Walbro carburetor on it, 2 stroke engine, and no matter what I do, it will not even attempt to fire. I pull and pull and pull, and it wont fire. It had a good bright blue spark, just replaced spark plug. I replaced the diaphragm and gaskets on the carb, and cleaned it up. When I take out the plug after trying it several times, it's saturated with gas, and I don't know why. It's like it's trying to run extremely lean. The compression is a little low on it, 100psi, but it should still attempt to fire with that much compression. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Skin has grown over food that's stuck in my tonsil is that good or bad?

Tonsils are HUGE and completely white!! Help!?

About 3 days ago I noticed my tonsils were sore and I didn't really pay any attention to it until the next morning when I saw that I had white spots on my tonsils. I went to the doctor and they tested me for strep and it came back negative but they gave me amoxicillin to take for ten days, three times a day. My tonsils have continued to swell and they are now completely white. I am not fatigued, nauseous, or vomiting, and I do not have a fever or any body aches! My doctor said she does not believe it is mono so I have no clue what it is! Any help would be appreciated bc my tonsils hurt and its hard to swallow which makes it difficult to eat and drink!!

Sore throat, swollen tonsils, HIV?

So I kissed a boy a couple days ago and all I meant to do was kiss him and then he put his tongue in my mouth and tried to feel for my stomach. After a couple of days I had a really bad headache and my throat was hurting. Now my tonsils are swollen and it hurts to move my neck. Do I have HIV?

Anyone seen any ruby throated hummingbirds in south carolina?

i live around the lexington columbia area and we have had our feeders out for a long time now. but still, no hummingbirds. i put out birdfeeders with seed and i recieved a whole lot fewer birds this year. then, my great grandfather has also seen less birds and only one or two hummingbirds. normally his feeders are packed with hummingbirds, like, around 5-6 at his 6 feeders. does anyone know what hapened to the birds this year, especially hummingbirds? i am using the same method i have used for years, and now its like a whole bunch of them died. i just want a couple of them to show up. there are no hummingbirds at my house, or my great grandfathers house. if you live in this area and see hummingbirds, tell me. i just want to know if they are here.

Will lifting weights make me a better baseball player? If so how do I ask my parents for a gym membership?

I'm 15 and in high school I'm pretty small muscular wise but I'm wondering if lifting weights and working abs will help me to throw hard and farther? Hit harder and farther? Make me faster? Quicker? Military Relationships! and Branch Question?

So I have been with my current boyfriend for 4 years now. We have had a long distance relationship which has worked out well. He has been speaking to me lately about joining the military. Now, I don't think there is anything wrong with the military and in my opinion it is a very honorable position for a man to hold. However I can't help but get nervous when I imagine him gone. Alot of people tell me that this will be easy for me because we have held a LDR for a while now. I think what worries me most is not knowing where he is and whether he is safe or not. All in all I'm worried something will happen to him. I know I'm probably naive about the way the military works and thats why I am on here. I want to hear from other military gf's, and ask how they've dealt with it, and what I can expect. I can't talk him out of this and I already know that but I want to be supportive and to be able to do that I need to know what I am going to be dealing with. Also, what is the difference between the Marines, Army and Air Force? I know he is leaning toward Marines but I've heard Air Force is easier to deal with. I'm not sure. Thanks.

Home remedy for white clusters on my tonsils?

This is the second time I got white clusters on my tonsils. Well, this time it's only in my right tonsil. Are there any home remedies to get rid of these? My tonsils aren't swollen or irritated, its just sore to swallow in the area where the cluster of white tissue is. The first time I had this I went to the doctor but then it started to go away, they tested me and said there was nothing wrong, so I need a home remedy to get rid of this stuff :) thanks!

Strep throat? Since last week i could feel a sore throat coming on only on the right tonsil.?

the past few days it was really painful to swallow and drink fluids. today however it seemed to mild down. i have not had any symptoms of strep. fever, chills, swollen glands etc. its been a week and one and wondering if is should see the doctor.

Is there any specific condition tonsils have to be in to get them removed?

Go to the doctor. It sounds a lot like a tumor... You don't feel tumors, but when the tumor is pushed up against something it does feel sore. So, yeah, have a doc check it out.

Should I/can I request a tonsillectomy (remove tonsils)?

I have huge tonsils too. My dentist says every time I go that he's never seen anyone with larger tonsils than I have. I do get strep almost every year now, when I was little I had it multiple times a year. I also have a sensitive gag reflex, occasional light snoring, and very often a feeling of something in my throat that makes me want to cough. Now I'm 28, and my primary care physician said I could choose to have my tonsils taken out and he would order it, but that being an adult my recovery time would be 2-3 months. I chose not to have them removed because of the long recovery time. I think you could probably find a doctor who would order it if you chose to do so. When I was a child the trend was not removing tonsils and I think that's changing back to removing a child's tonsils if they are prone to strep and tonsillitis.

You want to grill or broil it carefully, and be careful not to overcook it. I would not cook it more than medium. Medium well will be already too dry. Another way is to stew or braise it for a long long time, with some added fat or oil. You can grind it up and use it like ground beef for hamburgers or meatloaf, too, but remember that you need to add extra fat. I like to grind up some bacon along with the elk for this reason.

I've been wanting a puppy for as long as I can remember, and my mom & stepdad have also mentioned that they would like to get one as well, but they are too busy because they are both doctors and I am still in school. My birthday is in 3 days, and whenever i used to ask if we could get a dog they would say no, but now its like they say where will it stay? you have to keep your room clean. My mom and I were also looking online for good breeds and breeders for us for about an hour, and when I said why we should get a dog they said that they will have to talk about it but seemed like it was leaning towards a yes. Parking in NYC (or outside the city)?? For a two night visit... Coming in from Boston area?

My family and I are taking a trip to New York City for the first time. We will be in NYC on June 14-16 (Tuesday-Thursday). This will actually be part of a bigger trip through the North East...We will be coming in to NYC from the Boston area. We are staying at the East Side Marriott at Lexington and 49th street. We will actually be in two vehicles and we don't intend on using the vehicles while in NYC. The parking garage for the hotel has a fee of $60 per night per vehicle (which for 2 nights for 2 vehicles, would be $240). We are from the South and have no idea about "big city" parking/driving. My question is: Is there somewhere inside the city or outside the city (along our route) that would be a safe and cheaper option than paying for the hotel parking garage? We would be willing to ride public transportation (obviously) to our hotel after leaving out vehicles (what public transportation do we need to take?). Also, we will be arriving in the evening on the 1st night and we will have a 7 year old with us (to take this into account for safety). Please only knowledgeable answers and I REALLY appreciate the help.

Please help me :( i feel worthless?

well there is this guy ive known since 3rd grade....we never really started talking until last winter but we are VERY close now... he is my bestfriend... well i kind of developed a crush on him at the beggining when we first started talking, i told him... he didnt feel the same way and i got over it... well recently, wel were sitting on his porch and talking we thought that this was going to be the last day that we were going to see each other because he was supposed to be moving over the summer and i was going to be in another city (we live in the same naborhood) well he told me that he actually did like me when we first started talking but then stopped... so we actually did like each other at the same time... only when he stopped i didnt. well we were hugging alot that night, and when it was time to go... he leaned in to kiss me but as soon as our lips were about to touch the porch light came on and his dad came out telling him it was time for dinner... i just left. the next day we figured out that we could hang out for two more days... while we were sitting there he said "you know i think its actually gonna happen one day" i ask what and he goes "us going out" at this point my feeling are returning for him but he goes "i just dont want a summer girlfriend" well the day went on and he never tried to kiss me... when i went home and got on facebook he chatted me telling me that he isnt moving, and that he wish he would have kissed me and was reggreting not, in attempt of making a long story shorter... he kissed me the next day then i left for the other city cuz my parents have a summer buissnes thing there, then i found out ever monday and tuesday i would be coming home well last monday and tuesday we did kiss again and alot but only near the end when i was about to leave and it was kind of like a peck sort of thing, this monday (yesterday) i came back (now keep in mind that i was expecting him to ask me out when summer was over and i also forgot to mention that he said that he liked kissing me and that it felt right and that when ever he is around me he feels like he has to treat me like im his girlfriend and he also said that he doesnt really like me either he said he is confused) well anyway when i got there yesterday he shows me a picture of this girl with her boobs barally fitting in her shirt and really short shorts and he goes this girl likes me and smiles :)... he said she plays guitar and loves rock and is in a band :D <---- this is his face now (me and him are both obsessed with rock music and ive been trying to learn guitar for a while now) so i go, what your gonna ask her out? he goes i dont want a summer girlfriend... so i ask when school starts? he answers most likely... you have no idea how much it hurt when he said that i felt like he just kicked me in the stomach i wanted to cry... but i just laughed and smiled and said awww :3 good for you :] <--- me trying to fake smile. well ever since that momoent i have been feeling HORIBLE :'( ive just not been the same... even he noticed and was bugging me to tell him what was wrong.. i didnt say anything, every time i try to tell him when he hurts me it hurts him really bad because he hurt me and when i see him sad or hurt it makes me feel REALLY bad even if its net my fault, i didnt want that at the moment well this is really weird because ive never felt this bad for this long usually no matter what happens to me or no matter how bad i feel i usually get over it in at least a couple hours im VERY optimistic but i feel like crap i dont want to do anything i dont want to eat and i couldnt even sleep last night i almost cut my self ive NEVER done that or EVER thought about it i dont have anyone to talk to because the person i talk to about things like this is the person whe is causing the problem... i just dont know
