Do you think I convinced my parents to get a dog?

I've been wanting a puppy for as long as I can remember, and my mom & stepdad have also mentioned that they would like to get one as well, but they are too busy because they are both doctors and I am still in school. My birthday is in 3 days, and whenever i used to ask if we could get a dog they would say no, but now its like they say where will it stay? you have to keep your room clean. My mom and I were also looking online for good breeds and breeders for us for about an hour, and when I said why we should get a dog they said that they will have to talk about it but seemed like it was leaning towards a yes. Do you think that they will finally let me get a dog? Or do you think that they are just considering it? Thanks (:
