Strep throat? Since last week i could feel a sore throat coming on only on the right tonsil.?

the past few days it was really painful to swallow and drink fluids. today however it seemed to mild down. i have not had any symptoms of strep. fever, chills, swollen glands etc. its been a week and one and wondering if is should see the doctor.
