I went to the ENT and I still think I'm sick.?

I went to the ent cause I though I had a vocal polyp. I had no symptoms at all but I still think I had it. My doctor checked my throat and he said I had no infection Or nothing exept my tonsils were a little swollen... But I still think I have a vocal polyp... Why can't I get over it?
