Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)?

I'm scheduled to have ultrasound guided fna on Thursday in my neck. For the last 24hrs I have felt the symptoms of tonsillitis coming on. Is it safe to continue with fna while I have an infection? I'm concerened that my surgeon will re-schedule if I let on about my tonsils, I've been waiting for nearly 3 months to find out if this growth is somthing bad, after two failed unguided fna's this appointment has taken weeks to arrive. I just wanna know what's going on in my neck!!! What do u guys think?!? X
