Do I have a throat infection or something?

I have been having a sore throat for almost 4 days now, I have been getting constant headaches since I got a sore throat. My tonsils look red and kinda big. There's also white little balls that I can feel on one of them. It really hurts and it's difficult to swallow. The first day I got my sore throat I also had chills but no fever =/ I've taken medicine for sore throat and headaches. It helps temporarily but the pain always returns. Any idea what it could be? Thanks.
