Can someone give me a summary of these american history terms please?

Primary sources are hearing it straight from the person; secondary sources would be hearing a witness say it instead of the actual person. Age of discovery is when Columbus was looking for the west Indies.Northern Colonies were up in New York area. Southern Colonies were in like Tennessee.Lexington and Concord were places were shots could be heard around the world.The declaration of Independence was mostly written by Thomas Jefferson,but it is not the document that gave America independence.The document that gave America independence was the Treaty of Paris.The Revolutionary war was when America fought for it's independence and won.The bill of rights protected the American citizens rights without the bill of rights the states would not sign the constitution.Slavery was when africans were brought to America to be slaves they were not paid and if they even looked at they're master wrong they would get whipped.The Civil war was when the south did not want to give up they're slaves so they fought against the north. Reconstruction was when America was becoming one again.The civil rights movement was when women wanted the right to vote and be equal to men;two main leaders of this suffrage movement were Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B Anthony.
