Is Delta Airlines good to fly with?

I will be flying on Delta Airlines (Economy) with my mother this December, It will be from Lexington, KY to Orlando, Fl. I was wondering if it will be and enjoyable ride? I know it wont be to long but it is my first plane ride and i don't want it to be with a bad airline. However, it is the only choice I have. Their will be a stop in Atlanta, Georgia and a switch of planes. I heard they have new comfort seats and TVS on the back of the seats. Any reviews on how my flight will be from past Delta riders?
